Who’s Raphael’s Helper
From my teens, I've been fascinated with the archangel raphael and have dreamed of assisting the unfortunate people. So I use the pseudonym, "Raphael's Helper", to signify my role in being a helper of St. Raphael in being the "Remedy of God" which is what Raphael means in Hebrew.

My real name though is the very mortal James Pereira, a father to two sons who are separated by ten years. As I edit this entry end 2009 (Jared the elder boy is 17 and Jason is 7). My first wife passed away (from cancer) when Jared was 5 and remarried in 2001 to Carol.
My renaissance with the Roman Catholic faith began after my second marriage. My first marriage was an arid zone from the perspective of faith.
I'm not a theologian and have only attended some Bible study courses conducted by the Church. So my articles don't claim to be from the Magisterium but reflect my thoughts and ideas as a struggling lay Catholic father, husband, son, sibling and co-worker.
