Mother Mary Challenges Omniscient God

I bought a CD of Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ some 4 years ago and had been regularly watching it as part of my Lenten exercises every year. During Lent 2007, I realized out that this CD was missing and frantically searched the house to no avail. Fortunately, I managed to borrow a CD from my in-laws and watched it on Good Friday.

A few days ago my 15-year old son, Jared, learned how to download movies with the aid of some software onto the PC. I mentioned in passing that it would be interesting if we could download the Passion of the Christ, but doubted that such a religious movie would be available. To my surprise he downloaded it successfully.

We reviewed some scenes to make sure it was of good quality and in its entirety. Although I've watched the movie many times, there was one scene that I found very amusing this time around.

This scene was where Jesus was making a high table to have meals on (note that in those days and even till today in many parts of the Middle East and Indian subcontinent, people eat while sitting on the floor with the plates on the floor or on a very low table).

Mary comes over and enquires on jesus' creation (no pun intended). Jesus explains what the table is and proceeds to demonstrate how it would be while sitting on an imaginary chair. Mary does likewise and states that this will not catch on.

This is the punch line: Mary tells Jesus (the creator of the Universe and omniscient God) about the future! Of course we all know who turned out right.

P.S. This scene is not Mel Gibson's teaching that jesus christ invented the high table, but merely a dramatization.
